ذهب dahaba a (ذهاب dahāb, مذهب madhab) to go (الى to); to betake o.s., travel (الى to); to go away, leave, depart; to disappear, vanish, decline, dwindle; to perish, die, be destroyed; with ب: to carry s.th. off, take s.th. away, abduct, steal s.th., sweep s.th. or s.o. away, annihilate, destroy s.th. or s.o.; ذهب به الى to lead or conduct s.o. to, take s.o. along to; to think, believe (الى s.th.), hold the view, be of the opinion (الى that); to escape (عن s.o.; fig.), slip (عن s.o.’s mind), ذهب عنه ان to lose sight of the fact that ..., forget that ... ; to ignore, skip, omit (عن s.th.); (with imperf.) to prepare to ..., be about to ... │ ذهب وجاء to go back and forth, walk up and down; ذهب الى ابعد من (ab‘ada) to go beyond ...
