طاعة ṭā‘a obedience, compliance, submissiveness; (pl. -āt) pious deed (Isl. Law) │ بيت الطاعة bait aṭ-ṭ. the husband’s house to which a woman, in case of unlawful desertion, must return (Isl. Law); السمع والطاعة as-sam‘ū wa-ṭ-ṭā‘atu I hear and obey! at your service! Very well! سمعا وطاعة sam‘an wa-ṭā‘atan do.
